How this works
Thursday Nights is a directory of the things Australian pubs, clubs and breweries do on a schedule — the trivia, the poker league, the karaoke, the featured artist, the tasting, the raffle. Most run every week; some run monthly, and those say so. It exists because that information is scattered across ten thousand Facebook pages and almost nowhere else.

Where the data comes from
Every one of the 310 listings here was transcribed from a schedule its operator or venue publishes publicly. Each one carries two things: a link to the source, and the date we last checked it. Both are printed on every page they appear on.
That's a deliberate constraint rather than a nicety. It means we can't pad the directory with plausible-sounding entries, and it means you can audit any line on this site in about ten seconds. If we can't point at a source, it doesn't go up.
What we don't do
- No paid placement. Listings are ordered by night and start time. Nobody can buy their way up.
- No invented listings. If a night can't be traced to something public, it isn't here.
- No tracking cookies. We count page views and which links get clicked, in aggregate, with no identifiers and nothing that follows you off the site.
- No scraped contact details. We link to venues; we don't harvest them.
Corrections
Times change constantly in hospitality. If something here is wrong, the submission form is the fastest way to fix it, or email hello@thursdaynights.com.au. Corrections from the venue itself go straight to the front of the queue.
Common questions
Where does the data come from?
Every listing is transcribed from a schedule that the venue or the company hosting the night publishes publicly — their website, their events page, their socials. We record the source URL and the date we checked it, and both are shown on the page.
How often is it updated?
The full dataset is re-checked against its sources on a weekly cycle, and submissions are checked as they come in. Every listing shows its own last-checked date so you can judge it yourself.
Does it cost anything to be listed?
No. Listings are free and there is no paid placement in the rankings — venues are ordered by night and start time, never by who paid.
How do you make money?
Right now, nothing. Long term the plan is optional paid extras for venues who want them, and relevant affiliate links — never paid placement in the listings themselves.
